La Muhidin, M.Hum.,.<br/>This research was aimed to improve students' speaking skill at eight grade students of SMP PGRI 15 Tenggarong Seberang The subject of this research was aclass consisted of 15 studensts. The research consisted of two cycles Each cyclesconsisted of three meetings The object of this research was to improve students'speaking abilitythrough online teaching. This research was conducted byusing Classroom Action Research Qualitative data were used inthis research. The qualitative data were taken fromstudents' score in Pre-Test, Post Test I, and Post-Test II The result of analyzingdata indicated that there was significance improvement on students' speaking skillafter the use of online teaching It can be seen from the students score in everycycle In Pre-Test, there were only 3 students whose score up to 75 InPost-Test I, there was only 7 students whose score up 75 while in Post-Test II there were 13 students whose score up 75 From data analysis, it showed that there was improvement on students' speaking ability. It can be seen from the mean of Post-Test II was 77.6. In otherwords, students' speaking skill has improved. Based on the qualitative data, thestudents gave good responses and showed enthusiasm after the use of Ice Breakerstrategy in speaking skill. <br/>But in the advantages in the online learning the first difficulty in the online teaching process is, 30 minutes before starting the learning time each students must be reminded again, sometimes there are some students who do not know anything about the process of learning activities, to deal with students who do not respond in learning each of our students guardians is contacted by telephone so that they can help to be guided from home, and the weakness when playing moving animations in the form of videos, sometimes some students have a little difficulty accessing slow videos, but on the other hand, how to solve the problem, researchers upload videos file via google drive and students can download existing material, after downloaded the video can be watched offline.
